“Hirshhorn Ball ushers in a new kind of D.C. party.”—Washington Post
The Hirshhorn Ball is a one-of-a-kind costume party that unites artists and art lovers in support of the Museum’s art-for-all mission.
Let’s come together on Saturday, Sept. 21, 6:30–11 PM with artists OSGEMEOS, José Parlá, and KAWS for cocktails, a costume contest, and dancing on the Museum’s outdoor Plaza to support universal access to art!

Bought your tickets? Good. Now plan your outfit.
The Hirshhorn Ball celebrates the artist inside all of us. Draw your “red-carpet” inspiration from our special guests OSGEMEOS, José Parlá, and KAWS:
- Out of this World: Are you an astronaut or an alien? Are you from the future? Crash land your spaceship into our concrete doughnut!
- Rock Steady: OSGEMEOS find inspiration in early 80s New York hip-hop. If you do too, put on your Adidas tracksuits and doorknocker earrings.
- Spark and Shine: Look carefully at OSGEMEOS’s studio paintings and you’ll discover sequins and light-up unicorn horns. Come as a mermaid, a goddess or dip yourself in diamonds.
- Wonder Twins: One is nice. Two is everything. In the spirit of Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo known globally as OSGEMEOS (“twins” in Portuguese) come as a twosome. An identical set of what? That’s up to you.
