The 6th Annual Charm City Django Jazz Fest returns with a tuned-in lineup from around the globe celebrating the music and legacy Django Reinhardt.
On Friday Night, join us for newly recorded sets of music by artists hailing from France, Belgium, Netherlands, England, and America. Hosted by Django Jazz Fest Artistic Director, Michael Joseph Harris, this concert is an unparallel convening of artists rarely seen on a bill together.
Saturday afternoon, we host a series of Zoom-based workshops that will appeal to various skill levels. You can join for one, a few, or a full day of licks and learning.
Saturday night, broadcast live from the Creative Alliance Theater and filmed in incredible HD with four cameras, features nine of Baltimore’s finest swing musicians. They celebrate “Django & His American Friends”, the recordings made by Django between 1935 and 1938 which found Django Reinhardt collaborating with such heavy-hitters as Coleman Hawkins and Eddie South.
