Aaron Oldenburg creates videogames inspired by altered states of consciousness, documentary design process, sound art theory and religious experience. He uses the intersections of procedural content creation, the rules of game systems, and player participation to surprise and generate emergent interpretation.

Subjects of his current series of games include states of hypnagogia, representation of the unique time and space of the chemical Salvinorin A, and group psychedelic and meditation encounters.
