The Bridge Gallery is excited to host an exhibit featuring two stylistically different oil painters.
The American landscape painter, Annette Gloomis and
Joshua Hoffman, a plein air painter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will be featured.
The exhibit will run from October 19th through Dec 1, 2024.
There will be an opening reception on Saturday evening, October 19 from 5:00 until 7:00.
Annette Gloomis, a resident of Shepherdstown,
embraces the beauty of our planet and shares her reverence for the
natural environment in her oil paintings. Her featured artwork has been inspired from locations
around the world including our gorgeous wild areas of West Virginia.
She manages to transport us to a world of tranquility that exudes atmospheric vibrancy.
Joshua Hoffman specializes in capturing the liveliness of Pittsburgh
and it’s surrounding environs through plein air painting.
Through utilizing this process, he feels he has learned to reflect not only on his surroundings,
but also his personal experiences, which are often expressed through the use of enhanced
colors and bold brush strokes.
In addition, pieces by the award winning sculptor, Bruce Fransen, will be shown.
