Join Community Arts Manager- sculptor Nicole Fall and Playwright- actor-activist- MICA professor, Sheila Gaskins for an afternoon of creating, writing, and discussing as we handbuild, from self-hardening clay, a shrine for a loved one or influential person in one’s life who has passed on.

Nicole will lead the clay component of the workshop and Sheila will engage participants in writing that can also be added to the shrine.

All materials supplied; clay, paint, brushes, etc. (art kits will be picked up Friday or Saturday at Clayworks before the workshop on-line on Sunday).

Participants add personal items such as shells, jewelry, photographs and objects that can create texture: netting, lace doilies, forks, coins, tools, etc.
