The Baltimore Classical Guitar Society presents the Baltimore International Guitar Competition, which seeks to foster the development of, and appreciation for, the art of the classical guitar, encourage performances at the highest artistic level, and promote and support the careers of the world’s most outstanding young guitarists. The first of three days of the final round of the competition will be held at UMBC’s Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall. Performers will compete for over $60,000 in prizes, including a first place award of $35,000.

Semi-Final Round (open to the public, with free admission as space allows)
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Peabody Institute

3-Day Final Round (ticketed events, open to the public)
Friday, Sept. 23, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. – UMBC
Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. – Towson University
Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. – Peabody Institute
