The long-awaited animated Spanish-language Afro-LatinX reimagining of Puccini’s classic opera comes to the big screen, with live music performed by the original cast. This film, created by young animators from Baltimore School for the Arts and throughout the region, is set in Washington, DC’s Columbia Heights neighborhood through the winter and spring of 2020. Boheme in the Heights tells of the exuberant creative power of youth, the transcendence of love, and the heartbreak of first loss.
