Join us for the 2025 Brown Spices Reunion – bring your family, your vintage Brown Spice dolls and quilts, and a spirit of joyful memories as we make new ones! This reunion will feature a puppet show by Yolanda Sampson and light refreshments will be provided.
Created by the mother/daughter team of Ann Dickerson and Julee Dickerson Thompson in 1979, Brown Spices originated as a project to make Black dolls and dudes for family and friends. The team grew and so did the creativity, soon Brown Spices included quilts, clothing, coloring books, and more. In 1985, the Brown Spices Elves’ Workshops were started and through these workshops the family grew into a village. For over 40 years, Brown Spices has fostered creativity and community through dollmaking, workshops, reunions, and more.
