In this workshop you’ll learn from renowned papecut artist Rosa Leff how to turn an ordinary photo into a intricate, high impact, black and white papercut. (Or in this case, any two colors you choose!) We will all work from the same photograph so we can learn from and help one another as we get acquainted with the tools and techniques of paper-cutting.

We’ll use knives to “draw the line” between black and white in grayscale photos, adding dramatic depth to our papercuts.

We’ll discuss when and how to reverse the positive and negative so that you are able to capture all the nitty gritty details of a complex Baltimore cityscape.

You will leave this workshop with a beautiful piece of art and the knowledge to embark on your own papercutting journey at home!
