Join Washington Studio School and local artists on September 19th, from 6-8pm for the opening reception of Civic Tongue. The exhibition features the work of 9 renowned DC street and public engagement artists as they reflect on the topic of democracy. The title plays off the idiom “Civil Tongue” but centers it more specifically on the city, through the use of the word “Civic”. The exhibition will also highlight the work of MasPaz through a newly-painted mural and a special installation in WSS’s nano space, Inglenook Gallery. The opening reception is sponsored by Topo Chico. This exhibition will also be part of Art All Night, where the school welcomes over 700 people to its gallery.
