Hedieh Javanshir Ilchi was born in Tehran, Iran and currently lives and works in the Washington, D.C. area. Ilchi received an M.F.A. in studio art from American University and a B.F.A. from the Corcoran College of Art + Design. She is the recipient of the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowship, Zeta Orionis Painting Fellowship, Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in Painting, and Bethesda Painting Award. Ilchi has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her work has been featured in many publications including The Washington Post, Hyperallergic, Art Papers, the Washington City Paper, and the New American Paintings. Ilchi has been an artist-in-residence at the Ucross Foundation, Millay Arts, Vermont Studio Center, Jentel Foundation, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Playa Summer Lake, Monson Arts and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her work is in many private and public collections including The Phillips Collection, The Federal Reserve Board, The Microsoft Art Collection, and the Carl M. Freeman Foundation. She is represented by Hemphill ARTWORKS Gallery in Washington, D.C.
Andrew Hladky is a British/American artist currently living in the DC area. Since moving to the US in 2015, he has held solo exhibitions around the country, at Rockville, Maryland; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Arlington, Virginia; and Raleigh, North Carolina. Hladky is the winner of the Bethesda Painting Award (2022), and the London Art Award at the London Festival Fringe (2010). He is the recipient of an AHCMC Artists and Scholars Project Grant, and he has been awarded many fellowships and residencies in support of his work, including a Pollock-Krasner Fellowship at Vermont Studio Center, a Charm City Fellowship at Millay Arts, a fellowship at Yaddo, and the Salzburg Künstlerhaus/VCCA Exchange Residency in Salzburg, Austria.
Jacqui Crocetta works in painting, printmaking and sculpture. Her socially engaged practice has aimed to bring attention to both the human condition as well as the environmental crisis, while celebrating resilience and the capacity for healing. She has exhibited her work regionally in venues such as Adah Rose Gallery, Arts in Foggy Bottom, McLean Project for the Arts, and Otis Street Arts Project, and received frequent recognition in the Washington Post and East City Art. Crocetta has been an artist-in-residence at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She has been awarded several Artists and Scholars Project Grants from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, Md and a Maryland Artists Grant from Maryland State Arts Council. In 2019, she was recognized as Cornerstone Montgomery’s Volunteer Champion for her work with artists living with mental health disorders. Her work is included in private, corporate and public collections.
