CHEYENNE KING-BAILS

Cheyenne serves as the Manager of Leadership Programs at the Sphinx Organization, where she leads the vision and execution of SphinxConnect, the largest and longest-standing global convening dedicated to excellence and inclusion in classical music, and the MPower Artist Grants, a competitive scholarship program that supports Sphinx alumni in pursuing impactful, career-building projects.

Passionate about community, her work centers on cultivating connection, visibility, and growth through initiatives that champion inclusion and artistic excellence. As a violinist and violist, Cheyenne has performed at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw and holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings. She is currently based in Philadelphia.

JAKE LANE

Operating at the intersection of leadership development and the performing arts, Jake Lane dedicates himself to empowering and uplifting changemakers in the arts. He currently serves as Director of Leadership Programs for the Sphinx Organization, where he provides strategic direction for their arts leadership programs and produces Sphinx LEAD, a two-year initiative designed to prepare arts leaders for C-suite careers.

Jake holds degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Florida State University College of Music. He currently resides in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with his brilliant and lovely wife and their beloved pets. In his spare time, he is a dedicated language learner, avid reader, and runner.
