Creating in Abstraction: A Pop-up Project Group Exhibition of 11 Global Contemporary Artists by Morton Fine Art in Bethesda, MD
Presenting 25 works, the pop-up exhibition features artwork by Osi Audu, Natalie Cheung, Rosemary Feit Covey, Victor Ekpuk, GA Gardner, Jaz Graf, Katherine Hattam, Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann, Eto Otitigbe, Andrei Petrov and Liz Tran Morton Fine Art is pleased to present Creating in Abstraction, a pop-up* group exhibition of eleven contemporary artists. Decamping with work from the gallery’s primary D.C. location for a one-month run at Gallery B in Bethesda, MD, Creating in Abstraction is the first pop-up exhibition by Morton Fine Art since the 2020 global shutdown. The exhibition features work from the gallery’s artists-partners, including Osi Audu, Natalie Cheung, Rosemary Feit Covey, Victor Ekpuk, GA Gardner, Jaz Graf, Katherine Hattam, Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann, Eto Otitigbe, Andrei Petrov and Liz Tran. A survey of contemporary artists pursuing abstraction across painting, sculpture, collage and mixed media, Creating in Abstraction offers a glimpse of ongoing global trends in abstract art. Creating in Abstraction will be on view from April 4 – April 27, 2024 at Gallery B, 7700 Wisconsin Ave E, Bethesda, MD 20814. An opening reception will be held Friday, April 12th from 6-8 pm. Open hours are: Thursday – Saturday 12pm-5pm, Sunday 11am-2pm *Morton Fine Art founded the trademark *a pop-up project in 2010. A pop-up project is MFA’s mobile gallery component which hosts temporary curated exhibitions nationally.
