Motor House is excited to announce their inaugural Digital Artist Portfolio (DAP) Festival. This 2 day festival gathers DAP cohorts from various disciplines including: comedy, music, painting, fashion and more. The DAP festival serves as a testament to Motor House’s commitment to Baltimore’s creative community to persevere amid a global pandemic. Admission is free and open to the public; so come celebrate these amazing artists August 5th & 6th!
DAP’s story begins during the global coronavirus pandemic. In March of 2020, the national shelter in place order was given and creatives everywhere were faced with a dilemma of transitioning their artistry exclusively online. During this time, the Motor House staff began to brainstorm methods to sustain the Baltimore creative community. They developed what is now known as the Digital Artist Portfolio Program (DAP).
This program offers Baltimore creatives of all disciplines the opportunity to have their work showcased and developed into an EPK (electronic press kit) while also offering monetary compensation for their craft. Through these efforts, Motor House has been able to welcome eight cohorts into the program and are currently reviewing applications for the ninth!
