The Washington Conservatory of Music and Accord Chamber Players present Echoes of Longing, a free concert including the playful dulcet tones of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, the mournful longings of Pietro Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana, and other classical music and opera highlights.
The Accord Chamber Players is a smaller ensemble comprised of professional and community musicians from the Accord Symphony Orchestra at the Washington Conservatory of Music. Now in its ninth season, the orchestra has presented more than 100 performances, including concerts at the Embassies of Spain, Great Britain and France, as well as the Kennedy Center and other prestigious venues in the D.C. area.
The musicians will be led by Accord Symphony Orchestra’s Assistant Conductor James Peterson and will feature tenor Dashiell Waterbury. For more info, go to washingtonconservatory.org.
