Time Stretches Slow invites viewers into a dreamlike world, inhabited by female figures at once unguarded and monumental. Bewitching colors belie the tension of ambiguity woven throughout her work, suggesting mythical narratives grounded by the figures themselves.

Cohn describes her work as depicting “possible communities of women by drawing from both a historical and imaginative past, present, and future. My paintings acknowledge and reflect a world where power is derived from collaboration, self-endowed agency and connection with the natural world.”

Cohn’s practice has been covered by The New York Times, Juxtapoz, Hypebeast, and the Boston Art Review, among others. Artforum noted Cohn’s 2022 solo exhibition at Hashimoto Contemporary NYC as “Must See.” Her work has been exhibited in New York City, Boston, Chicago, and London, among other cities. She is the winning recipient of the Hopper Prize. Cohn currently lives and works in Boston, MA where she teaches at Wellesley College.

Time Stretches Slow is currently on view. We welcome you to join us for the opening and Artist’s Reception this Saturday, March 23, 4-6pm. The artist will be in attendance.
