Entitled “Here and Now”, Scheuerman’s solo show is about this year being quarantined in Baltimore. As a representational artist, Scheuerman captures Baltimore’s contemporary scenes using traditional art methods in oil paint. Local landmarks are featured such as the Patterson Pagoda and Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon. The people in Scheuerman’s bubble became her new art models. Still lifes came to include blue crabs as well as local cocktails. This show is about her gratitude to the city and people that supported her throughout this past year.
