The Black Genius Art Show Presents: In- Ordinary, a visual, cultural and community building experience that explores the beauty and brilliance of the black male experience. In- Ordinary: Understanding the Extraordinary Layers is the first installation of a multifaceted exhibit curated by Yasmin Perkins. It features the works of John Johnson, Granville Templeton, D. Antwone, Patrick Williams, and Craig Curbean.

The exhibit will run from June 18th -July 23rd at Genius Guice Studio. The visual experience will empower participants to ask the question: How are we honoring the in-ordinary in ourselves? More importantly, however, the exhibit explores the multifaceted layers of individuals, to dismantle racial narratives, advance cognition, and explore social innovation and engagement through optical storytelling.

By day, the featured artists are lawyers, engineers, restauranteurs, business leaders, fathers, and activists in their communities. These artists have been given the opportunity to elevate their voices through their visual mediums. The exhibit will also feature a tribute to veteran artist and art activist Ashley Milburn, honoring his legacy series: I Can’t Take It with Me.For more information about the exhibit events visitwww.inordinaryexhibit.com
