Jill’s second collection is the winner of the Ohio State University Press Journal Non/Fiction Prize. It’s also one of a number of honors she has won for her work, including the Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction, a John Burroughs Nature Essay Award, and a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award. Her work has appeared in Best American Science and Nature Writing 2011 and Best American Essays 2016, as well as Orion Magazine and Kenyon Review.
