It is becoming more common for public speaking events to include an acknowledgement of the Indigenous land on which the event is taking place. This webinar explains the intent of such land acknowledgements, describes best practices on how they’re created, and frames them as one step in a longer process of repairing relationships between Indigenous people and white settlers. Traditional arts professionals and cultural workers of all kinds are invited to participate.
