Rapid Lemon Productions will present a
reading of “Marjorie is Dead” by Priyanka Shetty, at Motor House on June
21st. Philadelphia playwright Shetty developed the script during a residency
with PAPA (Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists) in 2021. The play is a
semi-finalist at the 2022 Eugene O’Neill National Playwriting Conference.

The once-opulent Tilbury estate is in grave peril. The doctor, the colonel,
the solicitor, and a roguish ne’er-do-well run circles around each other as
the family comes to grips with a deadly “coroners’ virus” which has claimed
the life of young Marjorie. Priyanka Shetty’s comic farce uses every
hilarious trick in the book. A talkback will follow.

The performance will be live and in-person at 7:00pm at Motor House, 120 W.
North Avenue Baltimore. Attendance will follow COVID safety protocols in
accordance with City of Baltimore guidelines. Live online streaming will
