The MICA Art Market Pop-Up is a three-floor holiday market that provides MICA’s best students, alumni, faculty, and staff the opportunity to sell their artwork, craft and artisan-made pieces in a two-day public event on MICA’s campus. As always, proceeds from table fees go to the MICA Endowment Scholarship, as well as to help fund the event.
Art Market 2022 is scheduled for 10 am. to 5 pm. on December 3rd and 4th, and is open to the public.
MICA art Market is an exciting maker fair – where over 200 Staff, Faculty, Alumni and Students sell their work together. Alumni range from last year to 40+ years, all levels of students (freshman to graduate) and of course full and part time staff and faculty – many of whom are also alumni. This is a great opportunity for student mentorship and professional development. As well as a way for MICA to support our alumni community and the greater Baltimore art scene. Works range from wooden coat racks, ceramic pots, hand dyed scarves, metal wall art, glass jewelry, stickers, note cards, tote bags, various prints, t-shirts, knitted hats and so much more. The MICA Quilt Raffle Club has also created a huge bed size quilt that will be up for raffle with proceeds going to benefit student scholarships.
Art Market EMPOWERS students and the MICA community to create and sell art while gaining professional experience. Art Market PROVIDES a stage to highlight and support scholarships and entrepreneurs. Art Market CREATES a thriving Baltimore Arts community.
