Molly Roberts is a documentary photographer living in Baltimore and a member of the AHI (Artists Housing, Inc.) community. Roberts, a recent transplant to Baltimore, spent 30 years in Washington, DC working for national publications like National Geographic, Smithsonian Magazine, The Washington Post Magazine and USA Weekend. Her published work consists primarily of environmental portraits. Roberts’ work has always focused on how humans relate to each other and to their environment. With the disruption of the pandemic came a closer focus on how people impact their surroundings and how nature offers respite from the anxieties of modern life.
Returning to her early street photography aesthetic, Roberts hones in on the humor and pathos of everyday life, the human condition, and our search for meaning and connection. This exhibition represents work completed since 2020.
