The Franciscan Center, a nonprofit ministry, announces its 3rd annual PLATED culinary fundraising event. On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the B&O Railroad Museum will host an evening of gourmet cuisine, craft cocktails, and an exciting cooking competition.
Guests will hear inspiring words by keynote speaker, Quentin Vennie, Baltimore-native and Co-Founder & Chief Tea Slinger at The Equitea Co., a wellness-centered tea brand. They will watch a real live cooking competition among three Dignity Plates Culinary Training Academy graduates, sample tasty bites from several Baltimore’s finest chefs, master the art of cocktail making, learn about the mission of the Franciscan Center, and honor special volunteers and partners with award recognitions.
This epic culinary event will take place at the B&O Railroad Museum, home of the B&O Café – the Franciscan Center’s social enterprise operated and managed by Dignity Plates Culinary Training Academy graduates.
Award honorees will be recognized at PLATED 3:
– Spirit of St. Francis Award – The Bunting Family
– Spirit of St. Clare Award – Gallagher, Evelius & Jones, LLC; Our Lady of Perpetual Help; and Johns Hopkins Student Groups
PLATED 3 event committee is led by Frank Knott, founder of Innovation Works and recipient of the Spirit of St. Francis Award in 2024, and Ayeshah Abuelhiga, founder and CEO of the renowned Mason Dixie and keynote speaker at PLATED 2.
