Brian Ulrich is an American photographer known for his photographic exploration of consumer culture. He is the author of the books Is This Place Great or What and Closeout: Retail Relics and Ephemera.

Ulrich’s photographs are included in major museum and private collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum. He earned his BFA from the University of Akron and his MFA from Columbia College Chicago. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design.
