In honor of National Poetry Month, the Brown Memorial Tutoring Program and the Ivy Bookshop invite you to a night of good-spirited competitive poetry reading! Compete in one of the below categories or just simply enjoy an evening of Poetry on the Patio:
- Read an Old Favorite – where you can either bring a beloved poem or choose from a collection that will be available at the event
- Recite an Original – where you can share a poem you have written
- Write Right Now – you will be given a prompt to compose a poem on the spot
Each presentation should not be more than 3 minutes long. There will be a panel of judges and a prize awarded in each category.
Snacks will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
