The Rehoboth Art League’s 40th Annual Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show, to be held November 2 & 3, 2024, will feature a variety of artisans exhibiting and selling their work, including jewelry, glasswork, ceramics, mixed media, and decorative and wearable fiber creations. Patrons can stroll the campus and find artists throughout the historic Homestead, Chambers Studio, and Corkran and Tubbs galleries to select the perfect gifts for family, friends and themselves.
General admission to the event begins Saturday, November 2, with a $5 weekend entry fee per adult that goes towards supporting the league’s year-round exhibition and education programs. There is no charge for children under the age of 12. Tickets must be purchased at the door.
A special ticketed Preview Night will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, November 1. As a fundraiser for the Art League, your preview ticket will give you early access to the artists’ booths to shop, as well as complimentary refreshments and drinks in each building on campus. Tickets to the Friday Preview Night — which are limited — are $50 per person and good for return entry the entire weekend of the Holiday Fair.
Along with exhibiting artisans, RAL is hosting an art auction and raffle. This year’s raffle piece is an original ceramic artwork generously donated by local potter, John Cooley. The piece, which is valued at $600, is a wall-hanging jungle scene, featuring hungry giraffes, dancing elephants, prowling lions and more! Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or five for $20 and may be purchased at the front desk of the Corkran Gallery through November 3. One lucky winner will be picked at random following the fair’s closure on November 3.
Auction items have also been donated by participating event artists. Works can be viewed in the DeWitt Gallery during the Holiday Fair or on our website anytime. Bids may be placed online, with the auction closing at 4pm on Sunday, November 3. Proceeds from both the auction and the raffle support RAL’s year-round education and exhibition programs.
Food and drink will also be on campus, courtesy of The Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe, offering breakfast and lunch options that can be enjoyed in our outdoor seating areas. Dogfish Head will offer a selection of craft beer in the ‘Paynter’s Pub.’
Holiday Fair hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm, and is held rain or shine. For additional information about the event at the Rehoboth Art League’s historic campus, visit www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302.227.8408.
