“They are the future. They are the Universe. Our children are our hope for tomorrow. We must equip them to be whole people. Give them the absolute best there is in the world. Like Walter Mosely said…Maybe that’s what they’re afraid of. Maybe they don’t want these children to make up their own minds. Maybe if they did that, the world would change.” – Jonathan Gilmore

The final concert in our three-part series about racism in rock! Don’t miss this, the ultimate performance in what has been a truly stellar collection of talent, passion, and collaboration.

Jonathan Gilmore returns with his band and special guest performer Stevanie Anita Williams to perform an evening of Afrofuturism. Featuring songs from Stevie Wonder, Parliament, The Grass Band, and Clara Ward to name only a few. We’ll explore what the future holds for Black artists in rock and musical theater with an emphasis on the need for change and anti-racist policies.
