Setsuhi Shiraishi exhibition titled “Into The Calligraphy” + BSC Social Celebrating APAHM Friday, May 31st 8pm
The opening reception celebrates the Asian American and Pacific American Heritage Month of May, and opens an exhibit for calligrapher, Setsuhi Shiraishi, visiting from Japan. The evening kicks off with a social hour for the general public to meet Baltimore Sister City members, and three of BSC’s Asian Sister City Committees from Japan, China, and Korea. It then moves into a live performance by Setsuhi Shiraishi as she demonstrates her pursuit of line and space. Setsuhi views calligraphy as a comprehensive art and creates live performances by fusing traditional calligraphy with live music, dancers, performance artists and more.
