In this full-day class, students will explore several different mediums to treat the surface of Shrink Plastic to include permanent markers, inks, stencils, pastels, and colored pencils. We will then be shrinking these pieces using Julie Haymaker’s silicon molds. Each student will have 20 pre-cut pieces to work with.

Homework: Become aware of surfaces that you like – is it matte, shiny, a mixture? Do you like flat or metallic? So many effects are possible, it is helpful to think about what you are attracted to.

Supply List:

Kit Fee payable to the teacher day of class. Kit Contents: Kit includes 20 pieces of pre-cut shrink plastic, colorants to include markers, pastels, inks and stencils, use of molds and tools.

Supplies Students Must Bring: Students don’t need to bring anything. If you want to use your own colorants, please make sure they are marked with your name.
