What is it like to style a fashion icon? Join Victoria Pass, PhD, Associate Professor of Fashion and Design History at The Maryland Institute College of Art as she sits down with Miss Piggy Creator Bonnie Erickson, Miss Piggy Costume Designers CalistaHendrickson and Polly Smith to discuss the most fashionable Muppet’s style evolution. From an aspiring ingenue in the chorus to a megawatt star, Miss Piggy’s fashion has both followed and set trends, but also harkened back to classic Hollywood glamor. From her iconic purple satin gloves, to her everchanging hairstyles, this panel will explore what we can learn from Miss Piggy’s style about the enigmatic starlet herself and about the history of fashion on film.
