The Ivy is teaming up with CHARM: Voices of Baltimore Youth to present 3 free summer writing workshops for teens! These hands-on workshops encourage students to develop their writing skills in a fun and supportive environment, and these three are developed especially to inspire creativity and foster a love for storytelling.

These are free workshops, but space is limited, so please sign up here. You can RSVP for one or for all 3.

Sunday, July 13: Haiku Adventures! Students will explore new worlds, creating haikus in the 5-7-5 format and turning their haikus into art pieces.

Sunday, August 10: Makin’ Zines! Students will explore texts and zine culture, following a tutorial and a prompt to inspire a story or message about their community.

Sunday, September 7: Flash Fiction! Students will study storytelling elements and analyze engaging texts. They will use creative prompts to to write their own short stories, bringing characters and worlds to life.
