The Weight of Tomorrow is a meditation on memory, nostalgia, and the evolving nature of black identity. Through a series of black–and–white paintings, Jahniah Kum explores the tension between presence and erasure, challenging how Blackness is perceived when stripped of it’s expected hues. The work interrogates beauty within nostalgia, and our role in a legacy continued.
