STABLE Arts, 336 Randolph Place NE, Washington, DC opens Tradewinds exhibition on Friday, September 30th with reception from 6-8p. Tradewinds approaches DC’s Go-Go music club culture from dual angles of photography and soundscape. Rooted in collaborative research practice, the exhibition is the culmination of the Nexus Residency wherein photographer Larry Cook and ethnomusicologist Allie Martin worked in tandem to meld their practices, presenting a unified body of new works. Tradewinds presents an intentional focus on scale and new medium exploration for the artists.
