This week, Voices of Carmen takes to the stage at the Motor House!
This year’s show brings a fresh, youth-led spin to the opera Carmen, with vibrant choreography, powerful storytelling, and original songs in the styles of Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B. What’s even more exciting is that alumni of the program are now leading as directors, choreographers, and stage managers. It’s been amazing to see them step into these creative leadership roles.

More About Voices of Carmen
Voices of Carmen is a five-week on-the-job training program in the performing arts where youth 14 – 18 years collaborate with teaching artists to create a musical adaptation of the opera Carmen. This year, the program is led by VOC alumni in creative team positions as directors, choreographers, and stage managers.
