William Wright
Artist Statement: “I make art.”
William Wright is a self taught artist, born and raised in England, currently living and working in Baltimore, MD, USA.
He was inspired at an early age by the large Henry Moore sculptures in London and a school trip to an exhibition of Salvador Dali at the Tate Gallery in 1980: “I liked that adults took such absurd things seriously.”
William paints in a variety of styles with fondness for surrealism, expressionism and bright colours.
Marie- Paule Dendooven
Born and raised in Brussels, Belgium, belgian artist, Marie-Paule Dendooven, paints instinctively and mostly from imagination and feeling.
She studied at different places such as M.I.C.A. , Schuler school of fine arts and B.C.C.
Eventually, she decided to let go, be true to herself and work back to her beginnings.
Her dreamlike or symbolic characters represent an emotion, a memory.
Her abstractions are honest. They straight out of the subconscious.
By working from her core and instinctively letting through colors and shapes, she aims to arrive at the source that exist in all of us.
Texture and color play the most important role in her present work.
