Tony Award-winning playwright and bestselling author V. (formerly Eve Ensler), known for her play The Vagina Monologues, will reflect on her life and how her writing and activism has impacted her journey.  V. will be joined in conversation by human rights lawyer and author Derecka Purnell.

V. (formerly Eve Ensler) is the bestselling author of several books, including I am An Emotional Creature and The Apology.   A Tony Award-winning playwright, she is best known for The Vagina Monologues that has been published in 48 languages and performed in 140 countries.  She is the founder of V-Day, an international movement to end violence against women, and One Billion Rising, an annual global campaign to stop gender-based violence.

Derecka Purnell is a human rights lawyer and a columnist at the Guardian.  She is the author of Becoming Abolitionists: Police, Protests, and the Pursuit of Freedom.
