Art Auction OAR Fundraiser -7p

Our Art Room will be hosting an auction fundraiser for Palestinian, Congolese, and Sudanese organizations and mutual aid efforts. You will have the opportunity to bid for select artist works and goods from local Baltimore businesses, such as KSM Candle Co, Flourish, Blick Art Materials, and more. Funds raised will support with life saving medical treatment, rehabilitation services, daily necessities like food & clothing, and more. Evidence of donations will be provided on OAR’s platforms along with links to the humanitarian aid platforms.

About the show!!

Yours, Mine, and Ours: Works by the strong and sensitive, features the 2024 cohort of Our Art Room Artist Collective (OAR). The exhibition embraces the labor of love in forging reciprocal relationships and establishing holistically supportive environments for the modern creative. This body of work coalesces around themes of care, stewardship of land, and spiritual healing, offering that building a new world must also respect the sensitivities of the creative. This respect is one that is principled, honest, and a challenge to the marginal bars of the ‘art world’, its institutions, and its decaying standards.

Our Art Room is a critique series and collective of Baltimore-based women, femmes, and gender non-conforming emerging artists founded in 2023. The collective is an annual incubator for artists to expand networks, share resources, and have accountability to their practices. Partnering with Baltimore organizations, Our Art Room hosts free and accessible professional development and creative workshops to their artists and the greater Baltimore community.
