Make Studio is excited to bring back our annual event – Cordially Invited — an invitational exhibition and showcase of artists working at progressive art centers around the U.S. and the globe!

Once again, we’re pleased to be part of Free Fall Baltimore! This year’s celebration, like everything else, is a bit different. It centers on a hybrid exhibition (mostly online, part in our gallery), but will make for as packed and festive a month as you’ve come to expect.

As a reminder, Make Studio is one of just several dozen “progressive art studios” (also known as “art centers for persons with disabilities”) in operation in the world. The art produced in progressive art studios is often exciting and thought-provoking because it’s unexpected, and invites the art-loving public to better appreciate our neuro-diverse world. In 2020, progressive studios around the world have been adapting to the pandemic, and providing vital connection and expressive outlets for their artists, even when their physical studios are closed. Exhibiting artists this year come from 18 diverse local and more distant studios (including Make Studio). Stay tuned here as over the next few days we’ll introduce each of the studios, the link for this year’s online show, sneak peeks, and provide details about all our Cordially Invited features.

Free Fall Baltimore is presented by BGE and Maryland State Arts Council, and is a program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
