!!!!!!!!!!!! Attention Crankie Makers and Performers !!!!!!!!!!!!

We cordially invite you to join us for the first ever Baltimore Crankie Festival Open Crank! It will be hosted Sunday May 5th, 2024 at the Creative Alliance in the main theater space from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Sign-ups to perform are first come first serve. We will accept the first 10 performers to sign up. The following 5 performers to sign up will be on the “waitlist” or “standby” and will also be expected to bring their crankies the day of the event. Should any of the first 10 performers not show, drop out, or if there is extra time the “standby” performers will be called upon in order of sign-up.

The day of the event performers will be expected to arrive at the Creative Alliance no later than 10:00 am. Performers will be expected to come with their crankies “performance ready.” The Creative Alliance will provide a table, black cloth, chair, power outlets, a clamp light with a bulb, and a bluetooth speaker for any sound cues. Performances are expected to fall within a 3-8 min time frame. Emily Schubert will be the MC/ host of the event. There is no reimbursement available for travel from outside of Baltimore to perform in the Open Crank*
