VisArts is thrilled to present Frame & Frequency VII. This exciting new exhibition, which features experimental new media, film, and video work by artists from around the world, runs from June 7-June 25 in the Kaplan Gallery. There will be an onsite reception Thursday, June 24, 5:00-7:00 PM (RSVP).

VisArts’ galleries are now open to the public without an appointment Monday-Friday, Noon-4:00 PM (masks required).

Frame & Frequency is an ongoing international new media, film, and video art screening program. Frame & Frequency VII highlights the work of a talented, diverse group of nine artists from across the Americas and Europe.

The artists’ compositions explore contemporary visual culture and present an intimate panorama of the breadth of video art in artistic practice today. Themes include appropriation, repetition, the blending of personal narratives with pop culture experiences, simulation versus representation, and identity and gender politics.
