The Franciscan Center, a nonprofit ministry, is pleased to host its 2nd annual PLATED culinary fundraising event. On April 25th, the organization will open its doors to its newly renovated center for an evening of gourmet, cocktail, and competition.

Guests will enjoy delightful drinks and food and encounter a lively cooking competition among several Dignity Plates Culinary Training Academy graduates. The event will showcase masterclasses from Cane Collective and Atlas Restaurant Group, and welcome Baltimore-native and culinary genius Ayeshah Abuelhiga, founder and CEO of the renowned Mason Dixie as the keynote speaker.

This epic culinary event will take place throughout the building for attendees to experience the updated indoor dining room, client-choice pantry, training culinary academy kitchen, computer lab and education center, clothing intake room, and the new Mace Street entrance.

Award honorees will be recognized at PLATED 2:
– Spirit of St. Francis Award – Frank and Carolyn Knott
– Spirit of St. Clare Award – M&T Bank, Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity
– Sister Irene Marshiano, O.S.F. Award – Mary Carol “MC” Ceselsky-Grunder

The event is sponsored by Whiting-Turner, MedStar Health, RCM&D, Gathering Point Giving Circle,  SP+, McCormick & Company, Tito’s, Cane Collective, and Atlas Restaurant Group.
