Current Space is proud to present ‘Having a Body,’ an exhibition of works by Miranda Javid and Brendan Sullivan.

‘Having a Body’ contains works of animation, sculpture, and drawing. In each medium, the gestures are fragmentary, like excerpts from a journal or the field notes of a 19th century naturalist whose subject is the inconsistency of self, both the internal and external in equal consideration.

There is humor in the work, as well as contemplative spaces of blank expanses and existential strains. Above all else, ‘Having A Body’ is an invitation of quietude expressed through a human lens.
