Parent-Ramos “sees a direct allegorical relationship between the sculptural scenarios I create and the social, biological, and psychological processes that are the invisible scaffolding supporting the human body, society, and mind.” She has participated in many exhibitions, and won numerous awards, including a Fulbright. She is currently assistant professor of Art at Montgomery College, Maryland. Parent-Ramos received a BA from Swarthmore College and an MFA from Alfred University.
