ATTEND A SLAM ORGANIZED THE BLACK ARTS DISTRICT: On Friday, June 28, from 6:00–9:00 p.m., watch eight poets each representing a local organization compete for a prize in the PASS THE MIC Benefit Poetry Slam. Organized by the Black Arts District and hosted by spoken word poet actor, and teaching artist Meccamorphosis, the event is at Motor House and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
