Kerr Houston, professor of art history, theory and criticism, Maryland Institute College of Art
The Venice Biennale is a vast show and it’s also accompanied by a series of parallel and collateral events which cumulatively offer a diverse slate of contemporary and historical art. In this lecture Kerr Houston will react to some of the more remarkable installations, offering contextual remarks and critical responses. Works by Louise Nevelson, Bruce Nauman, Stanley Whitney, Martin Puryear, Danh Vo and others will be featured.
