Quote from Paul H-O of Gallery Beat: “This is the second Gramercy Park Hotel Art Fair 1995. The Gramercy, well-known for it’s rock and roll clientele as well as the Chelsea for it’s artists, became the site for the best art fair on earth. A bit shabby, cheap, and cum-stained, it also boasted the hippest music and art bar with a grand pianist. The rooms on two floors were filled with one or two galleries per room for the art fair. Tracey slept in her room because she was from London. I guess Jay probably slept with her there since even he was famous for her for her promiscuity too, using her sex life as a base for her work. Minky Mank and the Schtup Tent. When I encountered her and with Walter and Cathy, she kind of put on a bit of a show. They both were Brit pills, but she had a certain seductive (and abusive) air that seemed promising. We had no idea who they were. Now they are fancy rich people and think themselves rather royal. I would encounter Tracey a few more times in the next few years. A royal bitch, but still kind of hot.”
