Friday, April 24 – Saturday, May 16
Center for the Arts – Holtzman MFA Gallery
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 23, 7:30 – 9 p.m.

Janna Rice’s recent work in photography and video is in response to interpersonal relationships, emotional identification, isolation, sense of “other,” and a search for self. In her work, she considers feminine identity through the examination of stereotype and myth, often including religious or cultural symbolism. Through form and content, Rice calls attention to the fractured relationship between our own personal reality and the pressures of the external world.

Charlie Hahn: MFA Exhibition:
Friday, April 24 – Saturday, May 16

Charlie Hahn’s primary mediums are photography and time-based media such as film and video. His goal is to explore identity and individuality, emanating out of his Korean cultural heritage. He often mixes clips of iconic people and images with his own original compositions. He combines purposely banal images, utilizing humor to engage viewers.
