Locus Magazine will release Issue 4: Vernacular on March 1, 2008 with a Release Party at 8pm at Metro Gallery in Baltimore. A $10 cover includes a copy of the magazine and live music by: The Offering (VA), Anup Kishore Pradhan (MD), The Up Set (MD), and Baby Venom (MD).

Issue 4: Vernacular features twelve local artists, whose works draw upon a common language of everyday experience. Featured artists include: Seth Adelsberger, Ramsay Antonio-Barnes, Michael Benevento, Rachel Bradley, Luca Dipierro, Andrew Laumann, A.D. Loveday, T.J. Proechel, Fred Scharmen, Alexandr Skarlinski, and D.B. Stovall. Each full-color magazine will include one original trading card by Baltimore artist Lillian Bayley Hoover. Issue 4: Vernacular is printed in a hand-numbered limited edition of 300, and remains, as always, advertisement-free.

Locus Magazine is very excited to produce an exhibition to accompany the release of issue 4: Vernacular. The exhibition will feature works by issue 4 artists, and will open simultaneously on March 1st at Metro Gallery. The exhibition will be open to the public from March 1 – March 22.
