BmoreArt was named “Best Use of Bandwith” in this year’s Baltimore Citypaper ‘Best Of Baltimore’ Extravaganza. We here at BmoreArt aren’t exactly sure what bandwith is, but are proud to wear this title!

Best Use of Bandwidth = BmoreArt Blog

“Launched this past March by local artist/writer Cara Ober with occasional contributions by local artists/writers Jarrett Min Davis and Don Cook, the BmoreArt blog is a welcome first local stab at an online environment that has already been part of bigger art cities’ internet life for a few years: a local site for show announcements, reviews, and discussions. Though this one still leaves much room for improvement–there’s a preponderance of Washington opening announcements for an art blog with “Bmore” in its name, it needs many more opinions expressed, and ideally the reviewers will correct themselves from writing criticisms that feel based on experiencing the art only at openings–but a site like BmoreArt is vital for any small, insulated art community like Baltimore’s to mature, expand, and begin reaching a larger audience.”

awwwww. shucks. and thanks for the invite to the CP Best Of party…
